-------------

Mike organizing archive by date/sender
- Organization by subject would be nice
- look in futures for example of index files

Arpad will be sending new library this week.
- Implement in Verilog fixes found in VHDL

Ken's feedback on BIRD 100.2
- IBIS3 limited in structures it can model
- Need to know what to implement in the simulator
- Proposal: define the macro library as an IBIS standard
  - Finite value-added subset to the standard
  - for both VHDL and Verilog
  - we have put a lot of work into this
- Ian would like to define a preferred subset of AMS
  - encourage people to do analog short term
  - would like to move to digital
  - Should we delay the BIRD? No
- Are we standardizing the building block library or the language?
  - First define the language features used
  - Not going to stop anyone from utilizing full AMS
  - Even with the language features that happen to be used in the
library today, many more building blocks can be created.
- Macromodels are a little clunky
  - AMS, even in analog mode, doesn't have as many limitations
  - macros should not be part of ANSI spec
  - Does make a good example of how to use AMS
  - May need a few more constructs not yet used
- Should have a syntax document stating what is legal
  - Easier to simply present the library as a guide
  - Keep this out of the IBIS spec
- Do we need a test suite?
- Needs to be in the IBIS spec
  - separate spec like ICM
- Do we hold BIRD100.2?
  - A future BIRD can modify it
  - don't hold the vote on BIRD100.2
